Bryan Chas Chandler

Bryan Charles Chandler, known as Chas Chandler, was an influential English musician, producer, and manager, best recognized for his role as the bassist for the iconic rock band The Animals. Born on December 18, 1938, in Newcastle upon Tyne, Chandler was a key figure in the British Invasion of the 1960s, contributing to the band’s success with hits like "House of the Rising Sun" and "Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood." After leaving The Animals in 1969, Chandler transitioned into a successful career as a producer and manager. He is notably credited with discovering and managing Jimi Hendrix, guiding him to international stardom and producing Hendrix's landmark debut album, "Are You Experienced."
